Week 4
Week 2 & 3
We had to build our bedrooms using only primitive objects and no modelling tools/booleans, as well as only a handful of provided materials.
Week 1
I drew my bedroom from the POV of my bed. My room is small and I'm a maximalist, so I spend a lot of time either on my bed or sitting on the floor rug. I have a bunch of odd cutouts in my room, so when I moved in I planned where to put my furniture to make the most of the weird unused spaces.
I've lived in NYC for 9 years and this is my 6th apartment, which I've lived in for a year and a half. Before I was 18 I moved at least every 6 months, often times even more frequently, so I think of my bedroom more in terms of the objects in it rather than the actual physical dimensions. I'm very sentimental about things, and get attached to little figurines and cute stuff, so everything has a memory associated with it or something that makes me passionate about the object, whether it be because a friend gave it to me or I think the craftsmanship is fantastic. Everything in the room is sort of a landmark, and every wall is like a collage/mural because I've covered so much of my room in artwork. The bookshelf would maybe be the main landmark, since it encompasses so many of the things I like, and I've packed it the tightest (except for the closet... clothes and art supplies overflow when I open the door.
